Citigas Emergency Gas Services Limited is a family run firm of plumbers and heating engineers, established in 1995.

CITIGAS EGS Ltd became a Limited company in 2004 – our team has been offering plumbing and heating services to homeowners, landlords and businesses around the East Midlands 24 hours a day ever since.

All of our engineers have completed traditional plumbing apprenticeships in the UK and all are City & Guilds qualified. This gives our customers the confidence that whatever their plumbing and heating needs we will deliver the right solution with required competence and professionalism.

Our two surveyors are senior engineers and not salesmen and with over 50 years of plumbing and heating experience you can be assured that our advice and quotations will provide the best solution.

Here at Citigas we are strong believers in investing for our future which is why every year we have an apprentice intake. Any school leaver aiming to gain Citigas apprenticeship must have achieved a minimum of three GCSC grade C or above including Maths and English.

Our apprenticeship duration is a minimum of 4 years ensuring our future engineers are equipped to deal with the many complex problems they will face. Over the 4 years the apprentices complete two fundamental plumbing and heating qualifications, the City & Guilds NVQ Level 3.

In addition, all of our engineers continue their training and development with regular gas, biomass, solid fuel and oil training, and product related courses.

Our back office operation is essential to support the engineering team. When you call our trained team will deal with you efficiently and courteously as you’d expect.

Our commitment to the environment
Here at Citigas we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Some of the things we have done to achieve this are:

We have installed a Baxi Biomass boiler providing carbon neutral heating and hot water to our showroom and offices;
We have installed 10 BP Solar Photovoltaic panels fitted at our offices providing free electricity;
We have installed a Kingspan Thermomax Solar Thermal collector providing free hot water to our showroom and offices;
We ensure all our waste is sent professional recycling centres like BIFFA based in Colwick, Nottingham. This enables us to analyse exactly what we recycle from the waste we produced;
We have our vehicles regularly serviced to ensure they are running economically and safely.
